Viva Technology 2022: Metaverses of Luxury and Beauty and the Future of Augmented Reality

This year DEVAR team was participating at the biggest tech event in Europe, Viva Technology. A total of 91,000 in-person visitors were able to discover all the innovations and attend the live conferences at the Porte de Versailles expo venue in Paris. Also, the digital audience amounted to 300,000 visits! Let’s discuss about latest news from #VivaTech.

The Future of Augmented Reality

DEVAR was presenting the MyWebAR platform as a game-changer key to the augmented reality world. This year we shared our experience with startups at one of the world’s leading telecommunications operators Orange booth. All visitors and exhibitors were able to interact with MyWebAR’s immersive AR business cards and create them by using brand new templates on the platform.

“WebAR becoming a leader in the augmented reality industry: more than 4 billion devices are supporting mobile AR today. This is a chance for every company to be in touch with all clients around the world, – CEO DEVAR Anna Belova”

AR x Metaverse

You are right if you are thinking that augmented reality is part of the Metaverse. Physical products become the entry point into a Metaverse by the brand in two ways: VR (create digital spaces and reach the user there) and AR (communicate with the user in two worlds at the same time). According to Shopify, 69% of people are likely to buy a product with interactive packaging.

Metaverses of Luxury and Beauty

Luxury group LVMH and beauty giant L’Oréal on embracing metaverse and new tech. LVMH has made other NFT watches with its brand Tag Heuer, which lets you display your NFT on the watch. The company also allows you to buy the watch with cryptocurrency. Finally, the metaverse plays a big role in the future plans of LVMH, which has a virtual shopping world for Sephora where you can try out bold make-up choices.
