What Type of Content is Most Popular in AR? Results of the MyWebAR Survey

The most popular content in AR

What is the most popular content in AR? MyWebAR, a leading platform for creating augmented reality content, is excited to share the results of its first user survey. With the participation of 1,500 people, the survey provided valuable insights into how AR is being implemented across various industries and the challenges users face.

Most Popular Areas

The survey revealed that the most popular areas in which MyWebAR users work include marketing and advertising, entertainment and games, as well as art and education. Marketing and advertising lead the way with 42% of users actively using AR to promote their products and services. Entertainment and games account for 18%, while art and education each occupy 9%.

Most Popular Types of Content

Among all types of AR content created, interactive advertising campaigns take the top spot, engaging 40% of users. These campaigns allow brands to create a unique experience for their customers, enhancing engagement and loyalty. Educational courses or training, which cover 24%, demonstrate how AR can make the learning process more interesting and effective. Additionally, 10% of users create content for the visualisation of physical products in retail, helping consumers better understand and evaluate products before purchasing.

AR in Marketing Campaigns

The use of AR in marketing and advertising is rapidly gaining popularity. The technology enables the creation of a unique and memorable experience for customers. Interactive product packaging that comes to life when viewed through a smartphone, and immersive advertising campaigns significantly increase audience engagement, helping brands stand out from the competition.

AR in Education

Education is becoming much more engaging and interactive thanks to AR. Teachers can create virtual labs where students can conduct experiments in a safe environment. Imagine studying historical events or geographical features in 3D, which greatly enhances understanding and retention of information. Such technologies make learning not only useful but also captivating. The DEVAR blog already features numerous cases of AR applications in education.

AR in Retail

Retail is increasingly leveraging AR capabilities. With the growing popularity of AR/XR devices such as Vision Pro, Meta’s Quest, HTC’s Vive, and others, the share of products utilizing AR is expected to rise steadily. Virtual fitting rooms, cosmetics, glasses, interactive product catalogs, and AR navigation in stores all make the shopping process more convenient and enjoyable. Imagine being able to see how furniture will look in your room or how new clothes fit on you without leaving your home. This not only improves the shopping experience but also helps reduce the number of product returns.

The data collected confirms that AR technologies are finding increasing application across various fields, and their popularity continues to grow. MyWebAR is pleased to see how its platform helps users create innovative content and support their business growth. The survey underscores the importance of continuing to develop and improve AR tools to support creators and brands.

We thank all survey participants for their valuable feedback and continue to work towards ensuring that MyWebAR remains a reliable partner in the creation and implementation of AR content.
